The Vale

The Vale was a high density, 25-acre, attached-housing community in the heart of Sunnyvale. The project was already months behind schedule when KDW was brought in due to the massive existing demolition requirements. This project was started in winter and required over 100,000 cubic yards of remedial grading to ensure all undocumented soils were addressed, some of which were as deep as 20 feet. Existing soils required high moisture content in order to meet the geotechnical engineer’s requirements. This significantly impacted production, however we still met the developer’s schedule.
